Hello, there!

We are just nine days away from our next PechaKucha event. Volume 34 is happening on Saturday, November 16 as part of the Performing Arts and Technology Festival: the fun begins at 9pm. And because you’re signed up for our newsletter, you get to meet the full and final line-up first!

Top row, L to R: Oscar Magor, Quyen Hoang, Andie Lloyd, Jason Campbell, Jeff Chiba Stearns. Bottom row, L to R: John Gibeau, Jordan Brett, Colby Spencer, Tony Durke, Trudi Goels.

We are elated to be collaborating with the Performing Arts and Technology Festival (PATF). The PATF a multi-day event, and will run from November 14 to 17. We invite you to take a look at their incredible offerings through the Eighth and Eight Creative Spaces website.

Our 10 speakers can’t wait to share their ideas, stories, and creations with you through the PechaKucha format. There will be beer, wine, and other non-alcoholic beverages available for sale via concession.

What is PechaKucha?

PechaKucha is a format for sharing ideas in which presenters use a format of 20 slides, 20 seconds per slide. That's a total of 6 minutes and 40 seconds each, kind of like show-and-tell for grown-ups! PechaKucha began in Tokyo two decades ago and has since spread to over a thousand cities worldwide.

We always welcome new speakers

Did you take on a new passion project and have something to speak about? Know someone who you think should share their passions? Find us on social media: we’re on Instagram and Facebook. We also encourage you to follow our PechaKucha New West page so you can take a look at some of our previous presentations.
